The prevailing aesthetic is pale stone, timber screening and deep shading. Bright plastic box signs are out of place and generally not permitted. Successful work here uses solid metal lettering, subtle halo illumination, sandblasted or etched glass, and finishes that weather gracefully rather than looking new for one season and tired thereafter.
